At the Hering Regatta on Ascension Day the Oban became second.

From Kappeln more than 60 ships participated in this annual sailing race to Sonderborg. The Oban started a little late but later overtook many ships. Unfortunately she had to let the Alberta win with a 45 second advance. In the evening there was a musical prize distribution ceremony. We won a real goblet. The first prize was a lacquered herring on a piece of board and the third prize a lacquered herring bone on a board.
