Last Sailingweekend in the Baltic 2013

segelreisen Ostsee

This will be our last weekend. It ‘s a pity the season is over here, because we love the Baltic. It also means the end of a good summer.

But up we go to AEro! We are heading for Marstal, which was the homeharbour of our Oban for 50 years!

Then we will go to Holland, to sail the last trips from there.

Our trips to Borbornholm were really succesfull

We had good winds to reach Bornholm an less wind afterwards. So we had time to visit Hamerhus, ride and swim. We have visited Hammerhavn, Hasle, Tejn, Ronne, Nexo.  Our troop with all individuals became a nice group. We will visite this beautifull island again!

At the Hering Regatta on Ascension Day the Oban became second.

From Kappeln more than 60 ships participated in this annual sailing race to Sonderborg. The Oban started a little late but later overtook many ships. Unfortunately she had to let the Alberta win with a 45 second advance. In the evening there was a musical prize distribution ceremony. We won a real goblet. The first prize was a lacquered herring on a piece of board and the third prize a lacquered herring bone on a board.

Finally an AED on board!

After Olaf ascertained heart problems with one of our guests, we purchased an AED ourselves. At the time our guest was taken from board by a life-boat and received surgery in time, he’s is doing well. Luckily our first-aid training came in handy.
